About Us

​Charming early '900 building on three levels, newly refurbished.
At guests' disposal comfortable common areas on the ground floor,
where you may relax with a good book in our reading room and linger in the living room listening to some music or enjoying your breakfast.
Our bnb is located in the centre of San Basile, a small mountain village immersed in the quiet of Pollino National Park. Hiking trails are either at a walking distance or at a short drive away in the nearby villages of Morano and Saracena (Piano di Novacco).
Good food lovers will appreciate our variety of local products such as olive oil, figs and cold meats. Food and wine tastings may be arranged on request. Small pets are welcome.

COVID & Hygiene

We are committed to following the advanced cleaning protocol. Here's what we've done to clean and sanitize space:

We use detergents and disinfectants mainly based on alcohol or chlorine

We cleaned, washed and/or dusted before sanitizing the rooms

All high contact surfaces have been sanitized: knobs and handles, push-button, remote control ect

We provide our guests with additional cleaning products: disposable soap, masks, gloves, hand sanitizing.

Environment & Sustainability

In our B&B we try to promote initiatives for environmental sustainability by reducing the use of plastic:

We do not use disposable vials for shower gel or liquid soap
-
We do not use dishes, glasses, disposable plastic cutlery and all dishes are washed in the dishwasher and then sterilized.

The water we offer our guests we bottle it at the Water Cottage of the nearby town of Morano Calabro avoiding buying bottled water and helping the local economy.

You can decide to pay for your stay in advance by bank transfer or upon arrival at the property in cash or credit card

Archaeological Sites
Calabria offers to art lovers the opportunity to visit interesting archaeological sites and museums such as those
of Sybaris and Crotone. In Reggio Calabria the National Museum hosts the famous Riace Bronzes.

Naturalistic Routes
Calabria has three National Parks: Pollino, Sila and Aspromonte. Nature lovers will appreciate the breathtaking scenery of our
mountains, lakes and forests.
Sports Activities
In summer you can go rafting on the Lao river or hiking along the paths of the near Pollino National Park.
In winter you can practice
cross-country skiing
on Piano di Novacco or enjoy
suggestive nocturnal
snowshoeing in the surrounding mountains.
The Paths of Taste
The Calabrian gastronomy reflects the strong personality of its inhabitants and is defined by intense flavors.
Characteristic are its red chili peppers, red onion from Tropea and licorice.
Any real gourmet will be delighted by the wide selection of our typical dishes and wines, such as the renowned
Moscato di Saracena.

In addition to its crystal clear waters and fine beaches, Calabria has a rich hydrothermal heritage and number of
establishments such as: Thermae Sibarite, Thermae Luigiane, or the pictoresque “Nymphs's cave” in Cerchiara.
Music & Entertainment
The majority of arts events come about during the summer season in different locations throughout our region.
Well known is the itinerant “Peperoncino Jazz Festival”, that year after year takes place in some of the most
beautiful places in Calabria, strengthening the link between tourism development, culture and sustainable
environmental preservation.
